Kia EV2 Teaser

Anticipation is building for the Kia EV2 as the brand prepares to unveil its newest all-electric model at the Brussels Motor Show in January 2026.

Positioned as Kia’s most accessible electric SUV yet, the EV2 is set to play a key role in the brand’s growing EV line-up.

The world premiere will take place on Friday, 9 January 2026 at 10:00:00 GMT, with the public able to view the EV2 throughout the show from 10 to 18 January.

A new gateway into electric driving

The Kia EV2 represents a new entry point into Kia’s fully electric range. Designed as a compact B-segment SUV for Europe, it aims to make electric driving feel straightforward, usable and achievable for everyday life.

Kia says the EV2 will combine expressive design, modern technology and smart connectivity with a flexible interior space, offering the benefits of electric mobility without asking drivers to compromise on practicality.

Designed with Europe firmly in mind

From the outset, the EV2 has been designed, developed and is expected to be produced in Europe. This regional focus reflects Kia’s intention to tailor the EV2 specifically to European roads, driving habits and customer expectations.

According to Kia Europe, the EV2 will bring the innovation and character of the brand’s larger electric models into a more compact format that fits naturally into daily life.

Kia’s vision for accessible electric mobility

Speaking ahead of the unveiling, Marc Hedrich, President and CEO of Kia Europe, described the EV2 as a pivotal step in making electric mobility more accessible, while retaining the design and technology customers expect from Kia’s EV range.

The EV2 is expected to reflect Kia’s Opposites United design philosophy, combining emotional styling with clean, purposeful surfaces that signal its progressive role in the brand’s future.

Part of a wider electric showcase

The Brussels Motor Show presentation will also feature GT versions of the EV3, EV4 Hatchback and EV5, underlining the pace at which Kia continues to expand and diversify its electric line-up.

Journalists attending the show will receive a detailed briefing on the EV2 during the live press conference, offering the first deeper insight into what drivers can expect from this new model.

What the EV2 could mean for UK drivers

For drivers across Leicester, Loughborough, Hinckley and the wider Midlands, the Kia EV2 could become an appealing option in the compact electric SUV space. Its size and positioning suggest a model well suited to urban driving, commuting and everyday family use.

Further details on UK specifications, pricing and on-sale timing are expected to follow after the world premiere in January.
