Kia is celebrating two major wins at this year’s Auto Express New Car Awards.
The new Kia EV3 has been named Small Company Car of the Year, while the Kia Picanto has taken the title of City Car of the Year.
The annual Auto Express Awards are judged by a panel of motoring experts, who assess vehicles on price, safety, efficiency, connectivity, reliability, and driving experience.
Paul Barker, Editor at Auto Express, praised the Picanto for being both fun to drive and surprisingly grown-up on the open road. On the EV3, he said the model combines great design, practicality, and the range needed to make electric driving easier for high-mileage users.
The awards highlight Kia’s growing strength in both electric and compact car markets. While some manufacturers are scaling back their city car ranges, Kia continues to invest in models like the Picanto, alongside its expanding EV line-up.
Last year, Kia’s larger EV9 won Large Company Car of the Year at the same awards. This year’s success shows the brand’s momentum across all sectors, from small cars to electric SUVs.
