In view of the current challenges we all face, and in some areas the difficulty for our customers to be able to book their cars in for regular service, combined with the impact that this may have on their Roadside Assistance Cover, the following is in place until further notice.
In each scenario the Roadside Assistance teams, as well as arranging assistance will encourage customers to fulfil their obligations regarding routine checking of oil and other fluid levels, along with tyre condition, and at the same time reinforce the importance of having the vehicle serviced in line with the manufacturer’s schedule when this is available to them.
Where a customer requires assistance with a car that has fallen outside of the normal Roadside Assistance expiry date and requires help, the following applies until further notice:
Due to the current situation, there are some restrictions with regards to replacement cars where collection and delivery is an obvious risk, both to the delivery driver and owner/driver. To mitigate this, at the time of assistance checks will be made with the customer to see if they actually require a replacement car during the current restrictions. If the customer does require a replacement vehicle, to reduce the element of risk to all parties, the supplier Thrifty will deliver a car but, there is a requirement for the car to be dropped off at a Thrifty branch once the hire car period has finished. The Roadside Assistance teams will work with customers to find the best solution with the minimum of risk.
The extension of our Roadside Assistance services reinforces our commitment to providing premium levels of customer service and offers our customers great reassurance at this time.
