The Kia EV3 Shortlisted For 2025 Car Of The Year

The Kia EV3 has been shortlisted for the final round of the 2025 Car of the Year award.

Selected by 60 jurors from 23 countries, the Kia EV3 is one of just seven finalists out of an initial 42 models. This marks the fourth consecutive year that a Kia EV has been shortlisted for the prestigious award, with the Kia EV6 winning in 2022.

With a segment-leading range of up to 375 miles* (WLTP), the Kia EV3 is equipped with 400V fast charging technology, making it possible to charge from 10-to-80% in just 29 minutes**. It can also add up to 125 miles of range in just 15 minutes, making it one of the most efficient EVs in its class. In addition, the vehicle is supported by Kia Charge, the brand’s network that offers access to more than 800,000 charging points in 28 European countries.

Built on Kia´s “Opposites United” design philosophy, the EV3 blends modernity with nature to deliver a striking yet harmonious design inside and out. In terms of its exterior dimensions, the 2.68-metre wheel-base and 4.30-metre overall length support its spacious living room inspired interior, with ample space for five inside. The EV3 also features class-leading storage space with a 460-litre boot, flexible two-tier floor and a 25-litre frunk.

“I am proud that Kia is the only brand present in Europe that reached six times the COTY finalist stage over the last eight editions and even won with a dedicated EV,” said Marc Hedrich, President and CEO of Kia Europe. “As a versatile and affordable electric vehicle, the Kia EV3 is proof that an EV can be the main car of the household while suiting a variety of lifestyles – and it is available now across Europe.”

The Car of the Year title will be conferred at the Brussels Motor Show on 10 January 2025.
