Kia has unveiled the new K4 Sportswagon, a longer and more practical version of the K4, offering up to 604 litres of luggage space for drivers who need extra flexibility.
The new Sportswagon expands the K4 line-up in Europe. It is designed for customers who want more room for everyday life, without moving into a full-sized SUV.
The Kia K4 Sportswagon has been designed with usability at its core. Its extended body and 2,720mm wheelbase allow for generous rear legroom and a flexible interior layout.
The boot offers up to 604 litres of luggage capacity, which is 166 litres more than the K4 hatchback. An exclusive powered tailgate adds extra convenience, making it easier to load shopping, luggage or sports equipment.
The K4 Sportswagon applies Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy to a longer, more functional silhouette. Clean horizontal lines emphasise width and stability, while Kia’s Star Map lighting gives the car a strong visual identity.
Details such as hidden rear door handles, a distinctive C-pillar design and sculpted rear styling help balance sporty looks with everyday practicality.
GT-Line versions add a more dynamic edge, with gloss black exterior accents, sportier bumpers and a more distinctive interior finish.
Inside, the K4 Sportswagon retains the technology-led cabin design seen across the K4 range. A panoramic display combines a 12.3-inch digital driver display, a 5.3-inch climate screen and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, with higher trims adding features such as wireless phone charging, heated and ventilated seats and a Harman Kardon premium sound system.
Digital Key 2.0 allows compatible smartphones to act as the vehicle key, while over-the-air updates help keep systems up to date.
The K4 Sportswagon is offered with a wide range of advanced driver assistance systems designed to support everyday driving.
Available features include Blind-Spot View Monitor, Highway Driving Assist 2, Smart Cruise Control 2, and Surround View Monitor, which help reduce stress on longer journeys and in heavy traffic.
The K4 Sportswagon will be available with a choice of petrol and electrified powertrains, supporting customers who are transitioning towards electrification.
Options include a 1.0 T-GDI petrol engine with manual or mild-hybrid assistance, alongside a 1.6 T-GDI petrol engine paired with a dual-clutch automatic transmission. A full hybrid version is planned to join the line-up later in 2026.
For drivers considering a practical alternative to an SUV, the K4 Sportswagon offers space, modern technology and efficient powertrains in a lower, easier-to-live-with body style.
The model will sit alongside the Kia K4 hatchback and the growing electric range, including models such as the Kia EV4.
Further UK specifications and on-sale timings are expected to be confirmed later this year. Customers will be able to view and order the K4 Sportswagon through local TMS Kia retailers across the Midlands.
