Booking is extremely easy using text or email check-in options. And these lay out & explain the optional services as well as the service itself. The service is videoed and receiving this along with a report that includes recommended work with timeframes and a quote. And the staff are friendly & knowledgeable. I have used this Volvo dealership for many years. Service department seem to remember little details and although we often only meet once a year I feel a they want to give the best they can. This year I had the car collected for its service. On the return of the car, and while showing my wife what a good job had been done I noticed the tool for the locking wheel nuts was missing. The driver came back to my house to help me look for the tool. I found it … where I had left it. They went on their way all happy and with a smile. Car collected and returned as arranged. My experience with TMS has been nothing less than superb and I would unhesitatingly recommend them. All the staff I have met have been warm and friendly. Communication has been excellent and always timely with follow up calls when promised. First class buying experience and after sales service! Bought the car online as I live a few hundred miles away from Leicester. After a few months I had an issue with the brakes. Very quick response to the initial booking and excellent customer care during the actual service which was conducted while I waited. The car was returned nicely cleaned and much sooner than I had expected. I was also given some private space to work in which was a huge bonus. Having spent years using BMW Dealers with a completely different experience, it has been an absolutely refreshing change to visit TMS (Volvo) in Coventry this week. Never had any experience of this Dealer or a Volvo Dealer until this week and I am absolutely chuffed. Lovely environment, very modern. Glass wall to the workshop, very busy place, you could eat your dinner off the floor of the workshop, never mind the showroom lol!. The car gets collected all work carried out or explained when it can be done, the car to be fair has been perfect apart from a couple of technical teething troubles, mainly with the Sat Nav updating the link Volvo sends is too big for a mobile phone in some cases and often needs a repeat down load. TMS Coventry are first class in every way, I am nearer the Warwick depot but they don't have the same attitude as TMS towards us and many of us at Volvo Truck & Bus prefer TMS Coventry. As always, service personnel were ready for me with a courtesy car for use whilst my S80 was in for service. The welcome colleague provided coffee and a Danish pastry as I waited for the courtesy car. The new facility at TMS Coventry is first class and I took my time to finish my refreshment. It was nice to sit and relax. In addition to the service, I reported a front passenger door locking mechanism failure which was replaced during the service under my extended Volvo Warranty, so once again I have a well serviced car until the next one. I collected my car at 4:00 pm - Washed and fully cleaned inside. First class! I have had 2 Volvo vehicles in the past 15 years. The first one was an S60 D5 sport model that was serviced by TMS Coventry for 12 years. 200,000 miles. I was persuaded by friends to change this car for a Jaguar XF and as I had worked for Jaguar through the X Type and XJ development. I did - wrong decision, the quality was very poor - interior finish and seating not to Volvo standard - it lasted 1 Month and I exchanged it for the current S80. My car always comes back clean. The dealership deals with my service effectively and doesn't do unnecessary work on it. I go back to the same garage every time, as they know my car and they always give me good value for money. If there is anything that might come up in future, or there is wear and tear on brakes, tyres etc, they will always let me know so that I can plan for my next service/MOT. I get Volvo Assistance as part of the Service and that gives me peace of mind, because I know that my car is not going to breakdown. It would be costly to provide a service like this if your car was likely to break down often. I get peace of mind knowing that my car is safe, and well looked after. We have owned 5 Volvos between us (my husband and myself). The last 2 cars we have had have been Volvo estates and we kept the previous car for nearly 10 years, having it serviced at regular intervals by Volvo dealerships and changed when we believed it was time to upgrade. That car had never let us down in the time we had it from new. Our current car is as good and we plan on keeping it until we feel it is time to change it. We would always go back to having a Volvo, as they are quality vehicles and there are few cars that meet our requirements for an estate. The car holds its value, is safe, comfortable, reliable and is wonderful to drive. Our car is paid for and therefore it is only the services and maintenance we need to pay for. It is important for us to have a car that is reliable and comfortable, as we travel from the midlands to Devon regularly. We have looked at the new V90 as it is slightly lower at the back than our V70 and we have a little dog who travels in the back. I believe she is safe in there but one thing that would make me very happy is to know that if we had an accident that she would be very safe, as she is our family and like a child to us. I know that most cars are built to protect the passengers but I would love to know that our four legged friends are also very safe in a vehicle of such quality and construction. Despite the long delay due to the recent epidemic , I found this dealership to be in fantastic shape with all the usual friendly faces still in place. The experience of dropping off Service explanation and picking up remains seamless. The hire car was a late model Volvo and tempted me to consider an upgrade. I’ve had Volvo cars from 1982 and my father drove them from 1969. Great cars and a great dealership at TMS. The staff were fantastic and if everything ran the way they do wouldn’t it be great. We even got a prompt to replace the tyre gel. Apart from the covid19 delay it’s was on time and keeps me confident in my vehicle. We went for a regular annual service which I know a local car centre near me can do for a few pounds less but having the car in a main dealership even at 120k means a lot to me. I have a very elderly Porsche and it too likes its annual check in a Dealership maintenance cycle which has been responsible for its longevity.( 250 k in 32 years). Parking is always a bit tight at this dealership but it’s very welcoming and the staff couldn’t do more thanks guys. Get lots of support and follow up calls so no issues there either. TMS Volvo accommodated my requests in respect of the service when a lesser garage might have taken the opportunity to add further work which was not necessary. In particular they checked the brake fluid but reported back to me that it was in good condition and so did not need to be replaced. TMS treated me as a valued customer. The service receptionist was both friendly and efficient - two qualities which do not always go together.
