What’s included in a car service?
A service usually includes an oil and filter change, along with checks on brakes, tyres, lights, fluid levels, suspension, exhaust, and more. A full service may also include replacement parts such as air filters, cabin filters, and spark plugs. At TMS, we only use genuine Kia and Volvo parts to protect your warranty and resale value.

What’s the difference between an MOT and a service?
An MOT is a legal test to check whether your car meets road safety and environmental standards. A service is designed to keep your car running smoothly by checking and replacing parts where necessary. An MOT does not replace a service, and vice versa. At TMS, you can book both together for convenience.

How long does a car service take?
An interim service usually takes 1–2 hours, while a full service can take around half a day. If additional repairs are needed, it may take longer. We’ll always let you know how long your car will be with us when you book.

Do electric cars need servicing?
Yes, while EVs have fewer moving parts and no oil changes, they still require checks on brakes, tyres, suspension, coolant, cabin filters, and software updates. TMS is fully equipped to carry out servicing on Kia and Volvo electric and hybrid models.

Can I spread the cost of car servicing?

What happens if I skip a car service?
