The Volvo EX60 Cross Country is built to do more

By David Lewis | 21 January 2026

Volvo EX60 Cross Country

Volvo has revealed the new EX60 Cross Country, an all-electric SUV that builds on the EX60 with a higher ride height, rugged design details and all-wheel drive capability.

Unveiled on the same day as the standard EX60, the Cross Country version brings Volvo’s long-running off-road-inspired nameplate into the electric era. It is designed for drivers who want added confidence, versatility and freedom, without sacrificing range, technology or comfort.

Cross Country heritage meets electric power

The EX60 Cross Country retains all the core strengths of the EX60, including long electric range, fast charging and advanced safety technology. What sets it apart is its distinctive Cross Country character, inspired by Volvo models first introduced in 1997.

Volvo says the Cross Country line-up has always been about exploration and capability, and the EX60 Cross Country continues that tradition for a new generation of electric drivers.

Rugged design with exclusive details

Visually, the EX60 Cross Country features several unique design elements. These include exclusive Cross Country wheels, clear branding on the bumpers and D-pillar, wider wheel arches and brushed stainless steel skid plates at the front and rear.

A new exterior colour, Frost Green, is exclusive to the EX60 Cross Country and reflects Volvo’s Scandinavian design roots.

Advanced air suspension for comfort and control

The Volvo EX60 Cross Country uses a sophisticated air suspension system designed to balance comfort, control and confidence in changing conditions.

At the front, a double wishbone suspension setup helps maintain stability and steering precision, while a multi-link rear suspension improves ride comfort for passengers. Semi-active dampers continuously adapt to the road surface, helping the car remain composed whether driving on motorways, country lanes or rougher terrain.

Single-chamber air springs allow the EX60 Cross Country to raise or lower its ride height as needed, improving ground clearance at low speeds and enhancing efficiency and stability at higher speeds.

Designed for confidence on varied road surfaces

In addition to its SUV driving position, the EX60 Cross Country sits higher than the standard EX60, improving visibility and driver confidence on uneven roads.

With air suspension fitted, the adjustable ride height allows drivers to tailor the car to different conditions, from winter weather to rural tracks, without compromising everyday comfort or long-distance usability.

All-wheel drive performance and electric range

The EX60 Cross Country is offered exclusively with all-wheel drive. The first available variant is the P10 AWD Electric, offering up to 397 miles of range, followed by the P12 AWD Electric, which offers a longer driving range.

Built on Volvo’s latest electric architecture, the EX60 Cross Country is designed to support rapid DC charging, helping reduce time spent at public chargers on longer journeys.

Available to order soon from TMS Volvo

The Volvo EX60 Cross Country is now available to pre-order in selected European markets, with wider availability expected later this year.
