Two wins for the Kia PV5 at the 2026 Parkers Van and Pickup Awards

By David Lewis | 10 November 2025

The all-electric Kia PV5 has scooped two major titles at the 2026 Parkers Van and Pickup Awards, taking home both ‘Best Electric Van’ and the top honour, ‘Van of the Year’.

These are the PV5’s first wins at the respected Parkers Awards and mark a strong debut for Kia in the electric light commercial vehicle market. The recognition shows how quickly Kia’s new van has made an impact among UK businesses and drivers.

The Parkers Van and Pickup Awards are held annually to celebrate the best in the UK’s commercial vehicle sector, separate from the Parkers New Car Awards. Each winner is chosen by Parkers’ team of expert reviewers.

Tom Webster, Parkers Vans Editor, said, “The Kia PV5 would have been an excellent van had it been made by one of the long-established names in the industry, but that it has come from a brand without that heritage makes it even more impressive. Not only is it good to drive and fitted with a comfortable and well-equipped cabin, the PV5 is staggeringly good value, undercutting even much smaller diesel rivals.”

He added, “It’s priced at a point where it’s made the industry sit up and take notice. It’s Kia’s first attempt, but it’s one that has really shaken things up – with more to come.”

Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK, said, “It’s fantastic to add two awards to the PV5’s growing collection. This double win reveals the practical and compelling nature of our first electric van and sets a new standard for our future electric commercial vehicles, which will be sold through our dedicated commercial dealer network.”

The PV5 is already setting benchmarks for performance, capability, and flexibility in the electric van market. It recently took home The Sun’s ‘Van of the Year’ title at the 2025 News UK Motor Awards, further highlighting its innovation and value.

Currently available as a two-seat L2H1 Cargo and a five-seat Passenger version, more PV5 variants will arrive next year – including larger and smaller Cargo options, plus six- and seven-seat Passenger models. Kia is also expanding its electric commercial line-up with the larger PV7 planned for 2027 and the PV9 in 2029.

The Kia PV5 Cargo and Passenger models are available to order now through Kia’s new PBV Centre network, with first deliveries expected towards the end of the year.
