New Kia Stonic Unveiled with Bold Design and High-Tech Upgrades

Posted 24 September 2025

The new MY26 Kia Stonic

The new Kia Stonic has been revealed, showcasing a striking redesign, upgraded technology, and a refreshed choice of powertrains.

The compact crossover, already a popular choice in Europe, now combines bold looks with features normally reserved for larger models.

Confident New Look

Drawing inspiration from Kia’s ‘Opposites United’ design philosophy, the Stonic debuts with a stronger stance and playful character. Updated bumpers add 25mm to its length, while new details include Kia’s Star Map Signature Lighting, revised grilles, and a modernised rear design. Fresh alloy wheel options and two new colours – Adventurous Green and Yacht Blue – complete the makeover.

Powertrain Options for Every Driver

The new Stonic is available with a 1.0 T-GDI petrol engine offering 100 PS or as a 115 PS mild-hybrid (MHEV). Both can be paired with either a six-speed manual gearbox or Kia’s smooth seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. This dual approach makes the Stonic a flexible choice for drivers across Europe’s evolving market.

High-Tech Interior

Inside, the Stonic sets a new standard for compact crossovers with dual 12.3-inch panoramic displays and the new Multimode Touch Display for climate and infotainment controls. Premium touches such as ambient lighting, USB-C charging, wireless smartphone charging, and redesigned steering wheels give the cabin an upmarket feel.

Always Connected

Kia Connect ensures drivers stay digitally linked to their car, while the Kia App offers remote access and monitoring. For extra convenience, Kia’s Digital Key allows supported smartphones and smartwatches to unlock and start the Stonic without traditional keys.

Safety Comes First

The Stonic now features one of the most comprehensive safety suites in its class. Highlights include Blind-spot Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Warning, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist 1.5, Navigation-based Smart Cruise Control, and Highway Driving Assist. These features, normally found on larger models, help position the Stonic as a leader in B-segment safety.

“The new Stonic is the perfect example of how Kia brings elevated design and upper-segment technology to the mainstream market,” said Sjoerd Knipping, Chief Operating Officer of Kia Europe. “It’s a stylish and smart solution for drivers across Europe who want more from their compact crossovers.”

The new Kia Stonic will be available across Europe soon, with UK pricing and specifications to be confirmed in due course.
