Award Win for Kia’s New Electric Passenger Model

The award was announced during a ceremony at White City House, recognising the PV5 Passenger as an ideal choice for families thanks to its space, value and easy everyday usability. This marks the fifth consecutive year that a Kia model has received a TopGear.com Award, following previous wins for the EV6, EV9 and EV3.

Jack Scarlett, Contributor for BBC TopGear Magazine, said the PV5 impressed with its modern design, efficiency and price. He added that the vehicle is enjoyable to drive, offers generous space and provides the feel-good character that families appreciate.

Designed for Families, Ready for Everyday Life

The PV5 Passenger is Kia’s first electric model developed under its Platform Beyond Vehicle strategy. It is designed to support both daily family use and commercial roles such as ride-hailing. The model is also one of the most affordable vehicles in its class, starting at £32,995.

Two battery options are available in the UK. The Standard Range 51.5kWh battery delivers up to around 183 miles, while the Long Range 71.2kWh battery offers up to around 256 miles. Inside, the PV5 focuses on comfort and convenience with a 12.9-inch navigation screen, well-placed storage areas and the use of sustainable materials.

Part of a Growing Line-Up

The PV5 family continues to earn recognition across Europe. The model has recently won the 2026 International Van of the Year award, along with several other industry titles. The PV5 Cargo has also achieved a Guinness World Records title after travelling more than 430 miles on a single charge while carrying its maximum payload.

Both the PV5 Cargo and Passenger versions are available to order through Steve Privett, our Kia PBV Sales Specialist, who is based at our dedicated Kia PBV Centre on Melton Road, Leicester. Customer deliveries are expected later this year. Larger models, the PV7 and PV9, are planned to follow in 2027 and 2029.
