Kia PV5 adds to its awards collection at the Company Car & Van Awards

The Kia PV5 has been named ‘Van to Watch’ at the 2026 Company Car & Van Awards, adding another major accolade to Kia’s growing electric van range.

The award, announced on 19 January, recognises the PV5’s design, affordability and potential to disrupt the UK light commercial vehicle market. It follows a strong launch period for Kia’s first purpose-built electric Platform Beyond Vehicle.

Judges highlight value and everyday usability

Company Car & Van judges praised the PV5 for entering a new segment for Kia with confidence. They highlighted its distinctive design, clever interior layout, competitive load space and strong electric driving range.

Crucially, affordability was also cited as a key advantage, positioning the PV5 as an accessible electric option for fleets, small businesses and owner-drivers.

Andrew Walker, Editor of Company Car & Van, said the PV5 had “hit it out of the park”, adding that its attractive pricing gives it a clear edge in the market.

Award success reflects strong early demand

Kia UK says the latest recognition builds on a positive start for the PV5 since pre-orders opened at the Commercial Vehicle Show last year. Customer deliveries began towards the end of 2025, with demand reported across all variants.

Paul Philpott, President and CEO of Kia UK Limited, said the award reflects the vehicle’s strong potential in the commercial vehicle market and the response from early customers.

Kia PV5 Cargo sets new benchmarks

The Kia PV5 Cargo is available in two trim levels, Essential and Plus, with a choice of 51.5kWh Standard Range or 71.2kWh Long Range battery.

It has already been named 2026 International Van of the Year and holds a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the longest distance travelled by an electric van on a single charge with a full payload. The PV5 Cargo covered 430.84 miles while operating at its maximum gross vehicle weight.

Prices for the PV5 Cargo start from £27,645 plus VAT, with the Government Plug-in Van Grant reducing the cost by £5,000.

Seven-year warranty and future PBV plans

Every PV5 comes with Kia’s seven-year or 100,000-mile warranty, with eight years of cover for the high-voltage battery. This provides added reassurance for business users moving to electric vans.

Further PV5 variants are due to arrive later this year, including larger and smaller Cargo versions. Kia has also confirmed future PBV models, with the PV7 planned for 2027 and the PV9 expected in 2029.

Available now through Kia PBV Centres

The Kia PV5 is available to order now in both Cargo and Passenger versions through TMS Kia’s dedicated PBV Centre in Leicester.

For businesses across Leicester, Coventry, Hinckley and the wider Midlands, the PV5 offers a new electric van option designed around real-world usability, strong value and long-term peace of mind.
