The three new Kia GT models combine dual-motor all-wheel drive (AWD) with Virtual Gear Shift, Active Sound Design, dedicated GT interfaces and distinctive design details. The result is an electric driving experience that goes beyond performance figures, with the connection between the car and the driver enhanced by the way the car feels, responds, sounds, and looks.
“With EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT, we are bringing the Kia GT experience to new segments and making electric performance accessible to a broader range of customers,” said Pablo Martinez Masip, Vice President Product, Marketing & Customer Experience at Kia Europe. “Each model has its own character, but they share the same ambition. The GT models make electric driving feel more responsive, more connected and more emotionally engaging, while retaining the everyday usability our customers expect.”
Building on the Kia GT legacy
Kia GT represents a more emotional expression of Kia engineering. From the first Ceed GT and ProCeed GT models to the Stinger GT — Kia’s closest interpretation of a true Gran Turismo — and later the EV6 GT and EV9 GT, the badge has stood for responsive performance, confident control and a more engaging connection between driver and car.
With EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT, Kia now expands this philosophy across the heart of its electric vehicle portfolio. The new models join EV6 GT and EV9 GT to create a broader GT family, where each vehicle has a clear and distinct character within Kia’s evolving electric performance line-up.
This wider portfolio reflects Kia’s belief that electric performance can be expressed through more than acceleration alone. It can be felt through composure, control, response, technology and design — qualities that make every journey more engaging while supporting the practicality and refinement expected from Kia’s EVs.
Grand touring for the electric era
Kia GT redefines grand touring for the electric era by combining emotional driving, intelligent technology and everyday usability. With EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT, Kia brings this approach to a wider range of fully electric models, each designed to offer a more responsive, confident and connected driving experience on all roads.
The new Kia GT models use dual-motor AWD, GT Mode, precise steering, electronic controlled suspension and enhanced cornering stability to create a stronger connection between driver, car and road. These technologies support a more immediate and assured driving character, whether accelerating, cornering or covering longer distances.
Kia’s electric GT experience is also shaped by the way the vehicle communicates with the driver. Virtual Gear Shift adds a more tactile sense of acceleration and deceleration, while Active Sound Design provides dynamic sound feedback linked to vehicle speed, acceleration and torque. Launch Control, Performance Timer and drive mode-specific displays further enhance the sense of engagement behind the wheel.
At the same time, the Kia GT models remain true to Kia’s focus on comfort, refinement and practicality. The result is an electric performance experience that feels engaging and distinctive, while still supporting daily journeys, longer drives and the varied needs of European customers.
The Kia GT identity is also expressed through design. GT-exclusive exterior and interior details, signature neon-green accents, GT exclusive semi-bucket sport seats, a dedicated GT steering wheel, 20-inch GT alloy wheels, and model-specific digital interfaces give the new GT models a recognisable visual character, while preserving the individual personality of each vehicle.
Beyond performance, the EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT offer a range of connected technologies designed to make everyday journeys more convenient. Kia’s in-car payment feature enables customers to pay for services such as parking directly through the touchscreen display, while on-demand services include access to Netflix, YouTube and Disney+. Onboard Wi-Fi hotspot keeps occupants connected. Over-the-air updates also allow infotainment, features and vehicle technologies to be updated remotely.
EV3 GT: urban energy
The Kia EV3 GT brings Kia’s GT philosophy to the compact SUV segment, creating a more responsive and emotionally engaging version of Kia’s ‘all-rounder’ EV. With a dual-motor AWD system delivering 215kW (292PS) and 468Nm of torque, the EV3 GT accelerates from 0-to-100km/h in 5.7 seconds.
Designed around compact responsiveness, agile character and everyday confidence, the EV3 GT has a driving character that combines fast point-to-point usability with immediate electric response, composed handling and a confident road feel. This gives drivers a more energising and connected experience across urban, extra-urban and daily driving environments.
GT-exclusive semi-bucket sports seats with suede materials and neon-green accents, Performance Timer, Harman Kardon premium sound and GT technologies such as GT Mode, Launch Control, Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control, Preview Electronic Controlled Suspension, Virtual Gear Shift and Active Sound Design help create a more immersive and distinctive cabin and driving experience.
EV4 GT: precision driver
The Kia EV4 GT applies Kia’s GT philosophy to design-, with road-focused hatchback and fastback body styles. Its dual-motor AWD system delivers 215kW (292PS) and 468Nm of torque, enabling 0-to-100km/h acceleration in 5.6 seconds. The EV4 GT offers a WLTP driving range of up to 537km for the fastback and up to 505km for the hatchback.
With its striking body style and low centre of gravity, the EV4 GT places greater emphasis on agility, driver connection and flowing dynamics. The lower stance and road-focused proportions support a more connected driving feel, while GT-specific chassis technologies enhance precision, responsiveness and corner confidence.
The EV4 GT has been shaped to make electric performance feel composed, natural and rewarding on longer journeys. Its character is defined by the way it links response, steering, suspension and driver feedback into one coherent experience, creating a Kia GT model that feels precise without losing the comfort and usability needed for daily driving. The throttle tuning provides a stronger feeling of acceleration with three areas of intervention: low-speed control for smooth driving; mid-range stroke for more free play and fun-to-drive character; and high pedal stroke for a torque feel up to full stroke. This enables the driver to feel in control across the whole pedal range and in all driving situations.
Inside, the GT exclusive semi-bucket sports seats and three-spoke steering wheel, black and neon interior treatment, GT logo projection under the front doors, Performance Timer, and Harman Kardon premium sound system all combine to create a more focused and emotional driving environment. These elements give the EV4 GT a distinctive role in the line-up: as the most driver-oriented expression of Kia’s new-generation electric Kia GT character.
EV5 GT: confident grand touring
The Kia EV5 GT extends the Kia GT line-up into the C-SUV segment, combining enhanced dual-motor performance with the space, comfort and versatility expected from a larger SUV. Its AWD system delivers 225kW (306PS) and 480Nm of torque, enabling acceleration from 0-to-100km/h in 6.2 seconds. The EV5 GT uses an 81.4kWh battery and offers a WLTP driving range of up to 476km.
The EV5 GT is the most versatile expression of Kia GT. It combines ride composure, confident traction, refined comfort and all-road capability in a family-oriented electric SUV package, bringing a more composed and capable Kia GT character to everyday journeys, longer drives and varied road conditions. The vehicle also features Kia Pet Mode that keeps the cabin at a safe, comfortable temperature when a pet is briefly left inside. It locks the doors, disables interior switches/alarms and displays an on-screen owner message.
The EV5 GT gives Kia’s electric GT philosophy a more spacious and refined form. Its character is focused on confidence and composure, with the performance and control expected from a Kia GT model combined with the comfort, practicality and versatility that make a C-SUV suitable for different lifestyles and uses.
GT-specific character and dynamics
The EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT feature ride, handling and dynamics that make driving fun on all roads, without compromising on comfort. The vehicles follow the striking GT styling concept, with sport seats for the driver and passenger, supportive cushioning, strong lateral support, and adjustable headrests, to combine high-performance support with everyday comfort.
The suspension has been optimised through real-world testing on a wide range of roads across Europe, including in the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and Sweden; and in hot and cold conditions. The increased spring rates provide a firmer ride while the anti-roll bars reduce the roll angle, for better control and comfort, supported by brakes calibrated to fit the GT character.
Preview Electronic Controlled Suspension uses a camera to check and analyse information on the road ahead to optimise damping for improved ride comfort and stability and adjust the damping force within milliseconds, while the steering response and revised gear ratio support more precise and responsive steering. The optimised Integrated Electric Booster (IEB) enables seamless coordination of regenerative braking, improving energy recuperation, brake efficiency and vehicle stability while reducing weight and package size. These technologies reinforce the GT themes of confidence, control and predictive vehicle behaviour.
The three drive modes offer a clear distinction in ride and handling: Normal is the most comfortable, with low damping force and high roll control; Sport offers a firmer ride, with higher roll control and response; and GT mode has near-maximum damping, strong cornering and a high level of responsiveness. Additionally, drivers can select three different set-ups for the Electronic Stability Control to enable the full capability to shape vehicle dynamics across all modes. In every set-up, the Electronic Stability Control monitors the parameters to ensure a constant level of safety. Torque vectoring is used to maintain a certain drift angle, always within safety thresholds. By adjusting the power fed to each wheel, the driving experience is enhanced further, especially on winding roads.
Technology drivers can feel
Across EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT, Kia combines hardware, software and sensory feedback to create a more engaging electric driving experience. GT Mode optimises key vehicle parameters including motor response, steering and suspension, while Launch Control supports stronger and more consistent acceleration from a standstill. Electric Dynamic Torque Vectoring Control uses integrated braking and motor control to enhance cornering stability and handling.
Virtual Gear Shift adds a more involving sense of progression by simulating gear shifts and shift feel, while Active Sound Design adds dynamic sound feedback linked to vehicle speed, acceleration and torque. Together, these features help make electric performance feel more intuitive, more expressive and more connected to driver input. The common GT sound signature uses the eight sound system speakers to simulate the soundscape of a high-performance engine (inside the vehicle) and enhance driver engagement. If the driver does not activate the Virtual Gear Shift, there is still an emotional driving sound, with a unique “coasting” feature resulting in a distinctive futuristic sound sequence when lifting off the pedal at speeds above 100 kph.
The Kia GT experience is also reflected visually and digitally. Dedicated cluster graphics, drive mode-specific displays, Performance Timer functionality and GT-specific interface content reinforce the connection between driver, vehicle and selected drive settings. On the outside and inside, GT-exclusive emblems, neon-green brake callipers, sports seats, dark cabin treatments and neon accents distinguish the Kia GT models to deliver a distinctive and unique Kia GT design presence.
One Kia GT spirit, five distinct characters
With EV3 GT, EV4 GT and EV5 GT, Kia expands its GT line-up into three distinct electric models that share a common philosophy but express it in different ways. They join the EV6 GT and EV9 GT to create a broader GT family, ranging from the emotional flagship performance of EV6 GT to the commanding capability of EV9 GT.
Together, they show how Kia is developing electric performance around emotion, technology and real-world usability, making the GT experience broader, more relevant and more connected to everyday driving.
