Kia has unveiled the all-new Seltos, a bold next-generation compact SUV that will arrive in the UK for the first time in 2026.
The global reveal took place through an online premiere themed “The Protagonist,” introducing the second-generation Seltos as a stronger, more advanced and more practical SUV for everyday life.
Kia says the all-new Seltos has been redesigned to offer greater comfort, improved technology and a confident SUV presence. It plays an important role in Kia’s international range and will sit below the Sportage when it joins the UK line-up next year.
The launch film highlighted how the Seltos is designed to support drivers’ everyday passions, reflecting Kia’s focus on usability and modern mobility.
The new Seltos features a wider stance and sharper styling developed under Kia’s Opposites United design philosophy. The look blends rugged capability with refined details for a confident road presence.
Key exterior features include star map lighting across the front, flush door handles, a floating roofline and vertical rear light clusters that emphasise width.
X-Line and GT-Line versions offer distinct styling, from dark gunmetal accents to sportier body-coloured detailing. New shades such as Iceberg Green, Gravity Gray and Magma Red were showcased during the premiere.
Inside, the cabin has been reworked to improve comfort and practicality. A low, horizontal dashboard helps visibility, while optimised packaging creates generous head and legroom.
The new column-type Shift-by-Wire system frees up centre console space, helping create an open and organised interior layout.
Interior highlights include:
The all-new Seltos is built on Kia’s latest K3 platform, aiming to deliver stable handling, improved noise insulation and confident road manners.
A choice of petrol engines will be offered globally, including 1.6-litre turbocharged units and a 2.0-litre engine tuned for smooth, efficient motoring. Automatic, dual-clutch and manual transmissions will be available depending on market.
All-wheel drive will be optional, paired with multi-link rear suspension for added stability on rougher surfaces.
A hybrid version will join the line-up in 2026, bringing improved efficiency and next-generation Smart Regenerative Braking.
The Seltos features a panoramic display formed by two 12.3-inch screens, an enhanced climate panel and Kia’s new AI Assistant for conversational interaction.
A full suite of driver-assistance systems includes Highway Driving Assist 2, Lane Following Assist 2, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist and a Head-Up Display that projects key information onto the windscreen.
The Seltos offers a generous 536-litre boot capacity and a flexible dual-level cargo board. Kia’s AddGear accessory system allows owners to attach modular storage solutions for everyday organisation.
Production of the new Seltos begins this month, with rollouts across India, Korea, North America, Europe and China through 2026. UK specification and pricing will be confirmed closer to launch.
For drivers across Leicester, Loughborough, Hinckley and the wider Midlands, the Seltos will provide a fresh compact SUV option with the practicality, comfort and technology suited to busy family and city life.
