Am I Eligible for the Motability Scheme?

Who Can Join?

You could be eligible if you receive one of these mobility allowances:

• Enhanced rate mobility part of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
• Higher rate mobility part of Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
• Enhanced rate mobility part of Adult Disability Payment (Scotland)
• Higher rate mobility component of Child Disability Payment (Scotland)
• War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
• Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

All you need is at least 12 months left on your allowance. If you have less, no worries – you can join once it’s renewed.

Allowances We Can’t Accept

Unfortunately, the following aren’t accepted for the scheme:

• Attendance Allowance
• Carer’s Allowance
• Employment and Support Allowance (ESA)
