
Sales Manager Role
As a multi-award-winning family-owned and run business, TMS Motor Group continues to grow and is looking to strengthen our Sales Leadership structure with the appointment of a Sales Manager to drive performance, inspire the team, and deliver a consistent, compliant and high-quality customer journey across the Sales Department. The successful candidate will be based at our Volvo Hinckley Retailer. Working closely with the General Manager, Sales Executives, and wider dealership departments, you will lead the day-to-day operation of the Sales Department, driving profitability, customer satisfaction, team development, and process excellence.
About The Role
• Lead and motivate the Sales Team to achieve and exceed new and used vehicle sales targets
• Manage daily showroom activity, enquiry management, and appointment conversion to maximise opportunities
• Coach and develop Sales Executives through regular one-to-ones, training, and performance reviews
• Ensure the structured TMS sales process is followed consistently across all customer interactions
• Monitor KPIs including units, profit per unit, finance penetration, renewals, and customer satisfaction
• Support negotiations and second-face customers where required to maximise conversion and customer confidence
• Oversee accurate sales administration, vehicle file compliance, and timely handovers
• Work closely with the Aftersales team to generate upgrade, renewal, and retention opportunities
• Manage stock turn, vehicle pricing strategy, and used car presentation standards
• Drive prospecting activity using CRM, portfolio data, and marketing campaigns to generate appointments
• Create a positive, high-performance culture focused on accountability, teamwork, and results
What You’ll Bring
• Proven experience in a dealership Sales Manager or Senior Sales leadership role
• Strong understanding of automotive retail processes, compliance, and finance products
• Excellent leadership, coaching, and people management skills
• Commercially minded with a strong track record of delivering sales and profit targets
• Confident communicator with strong negotiation and customer-facing skills
• Highly organised, resilient, and results-driven
• IT literate with experience using CRM and DMS systems

5 days on a rota basis covering:
• Monday–Friday: 08:30–18:00
• Saturday: 08:30–17:00
• Sunday: 11:00–16:00
(Two rota days off per week)
