What is the New Vehicle Payment?

The New Vehicle Payment is a one-time payment of £750 for cars and WAVs. This payment can be sent directly to TMS Kia to offset the Advance Payment cost or be paid in full to you after you receive your new vehicle.

Important: The New Vehicle Payment is separate from the Good Condition Payment, which is provided at the end of your lease if the vehicle is returned in good condition. Receiving the New Vehicle Payment does not affect your eligibility for the Good Condition Payment.

Am I Eligible for the New Vehicle Payment?

You are eligible for the New Vehicle Payment if:

  • You order your first vehicle before the end of 2024.
  • You are already on the Motability Scheme and have not yet received the New Vehicle Payment; you will receive it when you get your next vehicle.

When is it paid?

If you’re eligible you have two options for getting the New Vehicle Payment.

We can send this to your dealer

This is to help towards the cost of your Advance Payment.

If your Advance Payment is more than £750 you’ll need to pay the difference to your TMS Kia dealer, but if it’s less than £750 we’ll send you the difference after you get your vehicle.

Your TMS Kia dealer will ask if you’d like to do this when you’re placing your order. If you’ve already ordered and would now like to put your New Vehicle Payment towards your Advance Payment, please speak to us directly. You can only use the New Vehicle Payment towards the cost of your vehicle's Advance Payment.

You cannot use it towards the cost of adaptations or optional extras.

We can send this to you

If you do not ask for your New Vehicle Payment to go to your TMS Kia dealer, we’ll send this to you in full within a few weeks of getting your new vehicle.

Get Payments Faster

To ensure that you receive payments promptly, consider adding your bank details to your online Motability account. This allows us to process payments more efficiently via bank transfer. If you do not provide bank details, a cheque will be sent, which may take up to a month.

Q. What is the Good Condition Payment?
A. The Good Condition Payment is a separate payment that you may receive at the end of your lease if you return your vehicle in good condition.

A. No, the New Vehicle Payment can only be applied to the cost of the Advance Payment for your new vehicle.

Q. Will I receive the New Vehicle Payment each time I get a new vehicle?
A. No, the New Vehicle Payment is available once per customer.

Q. What if I Extend My Lease?
A. If you choose to extend your lease, you will still receive the New Vehicle Payment, but it will be processed when you receive your next vehicle, not at the time of the lease extension. Remember, you can only receive this payment once per lease cycle.
