Part exchange valuation will need to have taken place physically at a dealership and a record held by the dealership – i.e. no verbal agreement on part exchange price will be valid. Any part exchange valuation will be subject to mileage scrutiny upon final purchase handover. Part exchange must be returned to the dealership in the same condition as was originally appraised – the appraisal will need to be signed and dated by the customer at time of physical appraisal. Any excess mileage or conditional changes of any kind may also affect any value given from the date of the appraisal, up until the date of any handover. Part exchange value may be subject to change if the new car delivery date changes. If we agree to buy your car directly, with you not part exchanging, the value will be agreed at the point of appraisal and will be valid until the date stipulated by the person appraising the car.
