New & Used Vehicle Preparation Technician – Hinckley KIA

​Due to continuing growth, we're recruiting. We're looking to recruit a new and used vehicle preparation technician to join our KIA team based at our site in Hinckley. 

You will assist in the preparation of new and used vehicles. You'll be required to carry out new vehicle PDI's and used vehicle multipoint checks which will include the fitting of accessories and carrying out routine servicing and maintenance.

To be considered for this vacancy you will have prior experience in a similar role as either a part or fully qualified technician.

​In the role you will be required to:

• Carry out pre-delivery inspections to new and used cars to KIA standards.
• Carry out mechanical repairs on new and used cars to KIA standards.
• Visually inspect the exterior and interiors.
• Fit accessories.
• Complete any associated paperwork prior to delivery to customers.
• A full driving licence is essential, as you may need to carry out road testing. As long as you can demonstrate good mechanical and electrical knowledge and an ability to ensure all work is carried out to a high standard, we have the training and facilities to help you make the next big step in your career.

​About you:

• We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, HGV Technician, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician to join TMS.
• Whether you work at an independent garage, fast fit centre, car supermarket or main dealer, we would be interested in talking to you.
• As a minimum you will hold or working towards completion of your NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• MOT License would also be beneficial but not essential.
• Full UK Driving licence.

Working hours:

This is a full-time permanent role. Working hours are 8.30-5pm Mon-Fri, plus Saturday rota 8.30-12.30pm.
