For 36 months after the registration date, or until your new vehicle has been driven 60,000 miles – whichever comes first – any component failure attributable to faulty materials or workmanship during manufacture will be rectified free of charge by an authorised Volvo retailer.
For three years from the date that the vehicle is delivered to the first owner, any paintwork defects and surface rust attributable to faulty materials or workmanship during manufacture will be rectified free of charge by an authorised Volvo retailer.
For eight years from the date the vehicle is delivered to the first owner or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first, any material defect of the hybrid Lithium battery pack* will be rectified free of charge by an authorised Volvo retailer.
For twelve years on all models, from the date that the vehicle is delivered to the first owner, rust perforation through any sheet metal body panel attributable to faulty materials or workmanship during manufacture will be rectified free of charge by an authorised Volvo retailer. Perforation means a hole that penetrates through the bodywork, caused by corrosion from the inside or underside of the vehicle as a result of faulty manufacture or materials. Please note that bodywork does not include road wheels and attachments such as bright trim, bumpers, mouldings, brackets and hinges or the exhaust system.
The Lithium battery fitted to Volvo hybrids, like all lithium batteries, will experience gradual capacity loss with time and use. Loss of battery capacity due to or resulting from normal gradual capacity loss is not covered under the Volvo new car warranty.
