This technology helps to maintain a safe speed according to road conditions while driving on an expressway or highway. It automatically reduces the speed before entering a safety zone, curved section, or entry/exit of an expressway or highway. And it resumes acceleration to pre-set levels thereafter.

Highway Driving Assist 2.0

HDA2 maintains the speed set by the driver or the speed limit of the highway detected by the navigation system. At the same time, it controls steering, acceleration and deceleration in your lane while keeping a safe distance from the vehicle ahead. HDA2 also includes the Lane Change Assist, which automatically changes lane when you press the indicator, enhancing your driving experience even further. 

Blind-Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist 

Take the worry out of your blind spots. With BCA, you will receive alerts whenever there are vehicles approaching to overtake you or in your blind spot. If the system detects that there is any risk of collision, it will smartly assist with braking your car to avoid it and lead you back into your lane.

Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2.0

FCA2 gives you added reassurance and helps you to avoid any potential collisions with pedestrians, cyclists or other cars on the road. If you are not applying the brakes hard enough to avoid a collision, your Sorento will do it automatically.

Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

Back out of a parking space or driveway simply and easily. With the RCTA system, you will get an alert that warns if cars or pedestrians are passing behind your vehicle. If there’s any risk of a collision, the system will automatically brake.

Multi-Collision Brake

The MCB offers you and your passengers added protection and reassurance in the event of a crash. After the initial crash, it helps to prevent any unpredictable movements of your vehicle, thereby helping to mitigate the danger of any secondary crashes.
